Yawen, Age 9 I live in Guangzhou, where there is fresh air and a good environment, harmonious people, and lovely animals. I especially enjoy our spring because it is full of life, as there are flowers and birds' whispers everywhere. At home, my mother, father, and I speak Cantonese and Mandarin, but I am also learning to speak English. In my free time, I enjoy drawing, swimming, and riding my bicycle. I play three musical instruments — the flute, the tambourine, and the triangle. At school, I love to play hide-and-seek and my favorite subject of study is mathematics. I think the most beautiful place in my neighborhood is Beijing Lu because it has beautiful night scenes of the modern and busy city. One day, I hope to become a famous painter so I can spread the Chinese culture of drawing all over the world. |
