Phillip, Age 8 There are about 20 million people in Australia. Here, you'll see possums, bats, birds, lizards, bees, and spiders. If you visit my country, try the vegemite (a concentrated yeast spread) sandwich. My mom is from Samoa, and my Dad is from England. At home, I speak English, and I'm learning Indonesian at school. My favorite school yard activity is finding bugs. On one school trip, we went to the Gould League and learned about mini beasts (also known as ants) and how they help our environment. I like to read about animals and nature. The last book I read was 'Flipper.' When I get older, I would like to be a zoo keeper. One day, I want to visit Africa and meet the native people and see all the beautiful animals. |
