Mr. Issam Bachaalani joined Colgate-Palmolive in 1991 as a part of the Global Marketing Development Program and
later moved to Household Surface Care with the Colgate - Palmolive Company in New York. He has since, held series of significant
positions in various divisions and subsidiaries with Colgate-Palmolive globally. In 1996, Mr. Bachaalani joined the Central
Europe/Russia Division as Marketing Manager. In 1999, he was promoted to Marketing Manager, Household Surface Care for Colgate-
Palmolive Mexico, and then moved as Marketing Director, Colgate-Palmolive Dominican Republic. In 2002, Mr. Bachaalani was promoted
to Marketing Director of Colgate-Palmolive, South Africa and in 2006, he was promoted as General Manager, Colgate-Palmolive Hong
Kong, where he and his team played a significant role in strengthening Colgate toothpaste market shares. In 2009, he was promoted
to General Manager for Colgate-Palmolive, Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei. Most recently, Issam was Vice President and General
Manager of the Global Toothbrush Division, where he and his team drove the business to record-high global market shares expanding
Manual Toothbrush Leadership with record sales, profits and unprecedented innovation stream of successful new products. With his
broad based experience across categories in Global, Division and Subsidiary roles combined with his strong leadership and proven
marketing skills, Issam in his current role, will continue to drive growth in the Indian Market. Mr. Bachaalani holds a BS degree in marketing from Lebanese-American University.
Executive Vice-President - Finance
Mr. Godfrey Nthunzi initially joined Colgate-Palmolive South Africa in 1993 as Internal Audit Manager and was promoted to Budgets & Planning Manger.
In 1996, he left Colgate to join Bristol Myers Squibb as Finance Director going on to become the Commercial Director. Godfrey rejoined Colgate-Palmolive South Africa in 2001 as Finance Director. He helped strengthen the financial health of the subsidiary, leading to increased sales and profitability. Godfrey also contributed to the successful implementation of several business building projects and the implementation of a very successful funding the growth program. Most recently, Godfrey was Finance Director of Colgate-Palmolive, Canada, where he contributed to the improvement in the subsidiary’s margins and overall profitability whilst growing market shares. He was also instrumental in raising the financial awareness of the commercial team which has contributed in putting the Canadian business on a path to sustainable top-line growth, while delivering profitable growth. Godfrey holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Accounting and completed his MBA at the University of the Witwatersrand in South Africa. Godfrey is a Chartered Accountant.
Vice President, Legal & Company Secretary
Mr. Niket Ghate joined Colgate-Palmolive, India in August 2011 and was appointed Vice President - Legal & Company Secretary. Prior to this, Niket was the Executive Vice President and General Counsel at Patni Computer Systems. Niket has 26 years of valuable experience in the streams of Law like Litigation, Contract negotiations, Corporate Governance and Mergers and Acquisitions. Prior to Patni Computer Systems Mr.Niket Ghate worked with Transocean, KPMG, Carrier Air-conditioners, Tata- Lucent Technologies in roles of increasing responsibilities. Niket holds a Bachelor of Law (LLB) degree from the University College of Law, Nagpur, India, and, is also a Company Secretary affiliated to the Institute of Company Secretaries of India and Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators of United Kingdom.
Vice President - Marketing
Mr. Eric Jumbert joined Colgate-Palmolive in 1999 in the Global Export Group, with responsibility for operations in Israel and the Levant Region. He has since held a series of significant positions in various Colgate-Palmolive Company's subsidiaries in Europe, Eurasia & Asia Divisions as well as at the global headquarters in New York. Eric brings well-rounded marketing experience to the role, which includes strategy, innovation, advertising, media and a multiple geographic experience. Most recently, Eric was Marketing Director, Colgate-Palmolive Philippines. Under his leadership the Philippines marketing team drove double-digit sales growth and achieved record high levels of market shares in all categories. Eric Jumbert holds a Business Management Graduate degree in Marketing and Strategy from Reims Management School in France.
Vice President, Customer Development
Mr. M Chandrasekar joined the company in 1989 in Customer Development. Since 2006, he progressed in positions of increasing responsibilities across the Customer Development organization in India. He has over 20 years of rich & varied experience within the Customer Development. He brings with him a wealth of experience from various assignments in Colgate-Palmolive. Since 2006, M Chandrasekar has been Customer Development Team Leader at Chennai. During his tenure, he delivered strong business growth across the geography. He consistently delivered sales through strong commercial discipline and by focusing on people development and enhancing team capabilities. Most recently, Chandrasekar led the Colgate-Palmolive India rural task force that has provided valuable insights to drive growth and distribution in the rural markets.
Director, Global Technology Centre
Dr. Shashank Potnis joined the company in 2004 and progressed in positions of increasing responsibilities across the Research and Development Organization in India. He currently leads the India Global Technology Centre (IGTC) which supports Colgate India, Greater Asia, Africa Middle East and Eurasia Divisions to meet their research and development needs. Within the Research & Development Industry, Dr. Shashank Potnis has over 20 years of rich and varied experience, having worked with multinationals such as BASF and ICI India Ltd., in areas such as pharmaceuticals, surfactants and polymers. Shashank holds a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from India. He will focus on driving business growth with new product innovations and implementation of global bundles, support manufacturing & supply chain to ensure speed to market and will continue analytical, microbiology and clinical programs to meet global needs of the Company. In addition, he will drive external collaborative research programs for the Company, in partnership with the Global Technology Centre in USA.
Vice-President Manufacturing and Supply Chain
Mr. Mustapha Yajid joined Colgate-Palmolive, Morocco in 2000 as a Senior Manager, Operations, Quality and EOHS (Environmental & Occupational, Health & Safety). In this role, he enhanced the quality systems, contributing to improved productivity. Over the years he held a series of significant positions in the Company's subsidiaries at South Africa, Egypt and The Netherlands. Most recently, Mustapha was the Director, Quality & Technology -Toothbrushes for Europe and Asia, where he ensured uniform implementation of global quality standards, guidelines and systems. He provided strong leadership in enhancing quality systems across toothbrush plants and contract manufacturers globally. Mustapha was instrumental in improving the Global Toothbrush Quality organization and for driving a culture of quality across the Global Toothbrush Division. He holds an Engineering Master's degree in Chemical Engineering from Ecole Nationale Superieure de Chimie in France. As Vice-President Manufacturing, Mustapha will be responsible for the overall management of the Colgate India Toothpaste and Toothpowder Plants.
Vice-President, Human Resources
Mr. M K Ajay joined Colgate-Palmolive, India in 2002 in Human Resources. Since then, he progressed in positions of increasing responsibilities across the Human Resources function. Ajay was Director - Human Resources for Colgate Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei from 2006 before taking up the position in 2012 as HR Director – Global IT and Colgate Business Services at Colgate-Palmolive, New York. In his last assignment, Ajay made significant contributions in leading the organizational aspects of the expansion and transformation of the Business Services function located at multiple offices in the US, Mexico, Poland, Ireland and India. He has diverse experience in all aspects of HR and change management in multiple global locations.
Prior to joining Colgate, Ajay worked in Human Resources for Asian Paints. Ajay is an MBA from XLRI School of Management, Jamshedpur.
Vice President, Toothbrush Category Supply Chain
Mr. Manu Mehrotra joined Colgate-Palmolive at the Aurgangabad manufacturing plant in India in 1989. Progressing through positions of increasing responsibility in manufacturing, he moved to the Regional Technology Centre in India in 1999 and soon took over the responsibilities of Senior Technology Leader for the Africa/Middle East Division, contributed significantly to technology transfer, quality up-gradation and margin improvement. In 2004, Manu became Associate Director of the Himachal Project, responsible for the entire project, setting up Colgate's new toothpaste manufacturing plant at Baddi. Under his leadership, the team delivered outstanding results in both performance and safety. Manu has been appointed to the current position, having most recently been the Director, Global Quality for Toothbrushes, where he was responsible for all quality initiatives and compliance, creating an organization that supported the transition to global categories. In his new role, Manu will be responsible for toothbrush production in India. Prior to joining Colgate, Manu was the Technical Manager for Hindustan Lever Limited.
Vice President, Customer Service & Logistics
Mr. V Ganesh joined Colgate-Palmolive in February 1989 and was appointed Vice-President, Customer Service & Logistics in July 2014. Over his 25 years with the Company, Ganesh has taken up positions of increasing responsibilities across a cross-functional platform encompassing Customer Development, Customer Service & Logistics, & Information Technology. Most recently, Ganesh was the Customer Development Team Leader for West Branch with added responsibilities of managing the Company's sales & marketing operations in Bangladesh, SriLanka & Nepal. Ganesh's cross functional experience, analytics based commercial knowledge & strong working relationships with internal teams & external customers make him well qualified to deliver in this role.
