Children have always been the focus of Colgate’s education drive as good oral hygiene habits begin in childhood. This year, through the ‘Little Dentist’ program, Colgate reached out to over 1.3 lakh children of 1st to 5th standard across 214 schools in New Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Pune and Ahmedabad to spread oral health awareness.
These children, as “Little Dentists” spread the message of basic oral care habits in their homes and to the communities. The children were given pledge cards, that were signed by those that they interacted with requesting them, to adopt these oral hygiene habits and sign the pledge cards to affirm their commitment.
To enhance the reach and awareness on oral health to other children, Colgate partnered with a popular children’s television channel ‘Nickledeon’. In addition to this, ‘Chandamama’ a popular children’s magazine ran a comic strip integrating Colgate’s mascot Dr. Rabbit .
