Silver Awards in the Best Sponsorship - Others

We are pleased to share with you all that "Colgate Muskurahatein - Spread a Smile " – the 12 episode series televised on Hungama TV has won the Silver Award in the Best Sponsorship – Others" category, at the recently concluded Branded Entertainment Awards 2006 held in Mumbai. In the wake of being voted the No. 1 Brand third time in a row in the 2005 Brand Equity-AC Neilsen Survey, this award is another feather for Colgate, as this recognition comes in September, our 2006 Oral Health Month.
As most of you would recall, the "Colgate Muskurahatein - Spread a Smile" series was the highlight of our 2005 Oral Health Month initiative. The competition was tough with 100 entries short listed to 18 other equally strong contenders within the category. One more external validation of our stupendous efforts!
The Branded Entertainment Awards was held to acknowledge and felicitate outstanding examples of branded entertainment. The Branded Entertainment Summit was conceived since the entertainment and media industry recognized that in addition to conventional spot advertising, there is a need for other avenues of communication to engage with the target audience. Incorporating brands into entertainment content is one of the latest ways in achieving this objective.
