Synopsis:
Kids love their summer holidays, and simply can’t wait for them to arrive. Koyal too was extremely excited about her holidays, and what made it so special was the brief stay of her dad. She anxiously awaited his arrival, and was impatient to see what new gift her dad would bring her. That day soon dawned, and Koyal was thrilled to see her new pink bicycle. She now rode her bike as often as she could, and took great care of it, by cleaning it, and keeping it safe.
Gracy, who also played in the compound, would easily get jealous, as she was the one to own a new bike. Since it was the vacation, Raghu (the watchman) also had the companionship of his son, Birju. Birju would always admire the pink bike, and Raghu constantly felt guilty about not being able to provide for his son. Each time Koyal would take the bike out for a ride, she’d notice how Birju would eye her bike. Once whilst going out with her dad, Koyal found Birju next to her bike, and she told him to stay away from her bike. She promised her dad that she’d give Birju her old bike.
Suddenly one day, Koyal noticed that her bicycle was tampered with, and the seat was scratched. She instantly blamed Birju for it, as she was convinced that no one else would do such a thing. She also decides not to give her old bicycle to him anymore. Raghu new his son was innocent, but couldn’t do much about the situation. Then late one night, when all was silent, and most people asleep, Birju notices a man trying to unlock Koyal’s bicycle. He runs to guard the bike, and gets into a brawl with the thief. The chaos awakens Raghu, who then takes control of the situation. In the meantime, Koyal and her dad also reach the spot, and Koyal is ashamed at herself. She regrets having blamed Birju all the while. Birju then informs her, that it was Gracy who tampered with her bicycle. Raghu persists on his son’s innocence, and Birju also tells them that he had no proof, although he saw Gracy tampering with the bike.
The next day, Koyal takes her old blue bike to Birju, and both of them speed away on their own respective bicycles. |
