COLGATE BRIGHT SMILES, BRIGHT FUTURESTM SCHOLARSHIP OFFER-2010 |

Anyone desirous of participating in the Colgate Bright Smiles, Bright Futures TM Scholarship Offer
(“the offer”) may do so subject to the terms and conditions set out herein. |

Participation in the offer is optional. Purchase of Colgate Dental Cream pack, Colgate Zig zag |
| |
toothbrush pack and / or Colgate Super Flexible toothbrush pack is not a condition precedent to participate in the offer. Colgate Dental Cream, Colgate Zig Zag toothbrush and Colgate Super flexible toothbrush without this offer are also available. |

| 2. |
Only Indian Nationals can participate in the offer. |
| |
|
| 3. |
In case of Minors, the Scholarship amount earned will be paid to their Parents/ Legal Guardians. |
| |
In case of entries received through SMS, Scholarship Amount earned will be paid to the person in whose name Mobile number is registered. |
| |
|
| 4. |
A total of 300 scholarships of Rs.10,000/- each to be earned will be available across India. The |
| |
net Scholarship amount will be paid post deduction of Tax at source as per applicable Income Tax Regulations for the time being in force. |

| 5. |
One can participate either by |
| |
a) Learning the oral care tips given and correctly answering the question asked on the website www.colgate.co.in. All persons who participate through the website and give valid mobile numbers would have an opportunity to earn a scholarship of RS 10,000/- (Rupees Ten thousand only) |
| |
OR |
| |
b) Learning the oral care tips printed on the packs of Colgate Dental cream 50gm, 100gm, 150 gm, 200gm, 300gm pack, Colgate Super-Flexi Toothbbrush and/or Colgate Zig-Zag Toothbrush and correctly answering the question printed on the said packs . Participants need to SMS the correct answer to the mobile number 099022 99022 by typing COLGATE followed by the answer option. Eg Colgate A |

| 6. |
All correct entries received through SMS and the website (with valid mobile numbers) will |
| |
receive free weekly oral health SMS alerts for 1 month (4 in number) & an opportunity to earn a scholarship of Rs 10,000/- (Rs Ten thousand only). Multiple correct entries during the offer period do not entitle the participant to multiple oral health SMS alerts. |
| |
In the case where a participant does not want to receive the free oral health SMS alerts; he/she may disable the function by sending an unsubscribe message. |
| |

| 7. |
By participating in this offer, all participants authorize Colgate to send SMS alerts including free |
| |
oral health alerts. |
| |
|
| 8. |
Standard text messaging fees charged by your carrier will apply. |
| |

| 9. |
Last date to participate in the offer is 31st July 2010. |
| |

| 10. |
A participant may send one or more valid entries, however he/ she has an opportunity to earn |
| |
only one scholarship of Rs.10,000/-. |
| |
|
| 11. |
A total of 300 scholarships will be awarded at the end of the offer period from all valid entries |
| |
received. For this purpose, the mobile numbers of 300 participants sending valid entries will be randomly selected by a Computer program. |
| |
|
| 12. |
Scholarship will be paid subject to verification of the purpose for which the amount will be |
| |
utilized, for which purpose the successful participant of the Scholarship Offer has to provide the details as per the format in Annexure 1. |
| |
|
| 13. |
The successful participant of the Scholarship Offer will be contacted on the mobile number and |
| |
or address provided by them and their names will be displayed on www.colgate.co.in between 1st October to 15th October 2010. |

|
| 14. |
Colgate’s liability is restricted to providing the scholarship amount to the successful participants |
| |
of the Scholarship Offer. |
| |
|
| 15. |
Mere participation should not be perceived as any commitment on the part of the Company to |
| |
award the scholarship. Nothing herein amounts to a commitment by the Company to conduct further, similar or other offers |
| |
|
| 16. |
Colgate would not be liable or held responsible for any lack or lapse in any communication on |
| |
account of failure or delay by any of the Internet, Telecom, SMS and E-mails service provider. No correspondence in this regard will be entertained. |

| 17. |
Employees of the Company, its affiliates, Rediffusion Y&R, ACL Wireless, Interactive avenues, |
| |
Encompass and their family members are not eligible to participate in the offer. |
| |
|
| 18. |
Disputes, if any, will be subject to jurisdiction of the courts at Mumbai only. |
| |
|
| 19. |
The holding of the offer is subject to force majeure conditions. |
| |
|
| 20. |
The Company reserves its right to change, discontinue, extend the offer and/or the terms and |
| |
conditions thereof without requiring to give any prior notice to the participants. |
