What I like the most about Colgate :
The robust systems & processes with highest standards of ethics and quality

I have been with Colgate-Palmolive India for 13 years and during this period have had assignments in different areas within Finance such as Budget & Planning, Corporate Reporting, Factory Commercial, Secondment to Contract Manufacturing (CM) Operations as Finance Manager with overall responsibility for the CMs financial and commercial operations and Financial Accounting where I am currently working.

Colgate is my first job and it has been a very rewarding experience over the years to be part of a truly global company with an amazing brand name, robust systems & processes, highest standards of ethics & quality. Last but not the least, it offers a caring and respectful work culture. Since the time I joined, I had opportunities to work in different areas which have given me exposure to different aspects of the business and processes thereby helping in my growth as an overall financial professional.

I have been on few short-term assignments (STAs) and prominent among these was my STA in New York to assist in the Greater Asia Division Budget Reviews. The STA afforded me an opportunity to work closely with the Division team and also meet with senior Finance people at the corporate office. The assignment helped me get a brief insight into the business of other countries in Greater Asia Division.

My major career span has been at Colgate-Palmolive India,having been with the Company for more than 10 years now. I have had the opportunity to work in diverse areas of Finance like Budget & Planning, Investor Relations, Treasury& Financial Accounting.  Stagnancy is something that one rarely encounters at Colgate as different challenges and roles are offered which helps grow professionally while building on team work and leadership skills alongside.

Colgate-Palmolive India is a great place to work. “Managing with Respect” is the way Colgate people put the company values into action to the core thus creatinga strong professional platform for employees to have their skills.
